Join Weill Cornell Imaging at NewYork-Presbyterian for a free Community Health Fair in Central Brooklyn. Stop by for cancer screenings, HIV testing, flu shots, health workshops, one-on-one time with local health organizations and so much more. No appointment or insurance required for most services. Bring your family, ask questions, and take a real step toward taking charge of your health. Saturday, September 19, 2026 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Medgar Evers College, 1638 Bedford Ave., Brooklyn, NY Free and open to the public SCREENING AND CARE -Prostate Screening -Breast Screening -Lung Screening -Rapid HIV Tests -Flu Vaccinations -Health Workshops -Preventive Education -Community Partner Resources MOBILE VANS ON-SITE Weill Cornell Imaging Health Screening Van The Weill Cornell Imaging Health Screening Van will be parked on-site offering no-cost, fast lung screenings — a low-dose CT scan that can catch lung cancer early, before symptoms begin. You may be eligible for a free screening if you: Are age 50–80 (or 50–77 for Medicare) Are a current smoker, or quit within the last 15 years Have a 20+ pack-year smoking history (WCINYP staff can help you calculate this) No insurance? WCINYP has options to help you get screened. What to expect: a quick phone or in-person eligibility check, a painless 5-minute CT scan aboard the van, and results within 1–2 days. If anything needs follow-up, their team will help coordinate next steps. Note: the van requires climbing 6 steps and is not wheelchair-accessible. Bridging Access to Care Mobile Health Unit Bridging Access to Care (BAC), Brooklyn's first HIV/AIDS organization, serving the community since 1986, will be on-site with their mobile health unit offering free, confidential testing and support, no appointment or insurance required. Available on the BAC mobile unit: Rapid HIV testing & counseling Hepatitis C testing STI screenings Mental health and substance use screenings On-the-spot referral and linkage to ongoing care, including PrEP/PEP and supportive housing services Confidential and open to everyone. Testing is free regardless of insurance status, and results from rapid tests are typically available the same day. What to expect: a private conversation with a member of BAC's Care Team, a quick and painless test, and same-day results with support connecting to follow-up care if needed.
