Join us for this virtual wellness seminar, part of the Community Health Series and National Diabetes Awareness Month. Diabetes is a cardiometabolic disease - a metabolic disorder that can lead to other cardiometabolic diseases, including heart disease. High blood sugar levels from diabetes can damage the nerves and blood vessels that control the heart potentially leading to heart disease. Heart disease is the most common cause of death for people with diabetes. This session will discuss diabetes as a cardiometabolic disease and the need for holistic approaches to treatment.
