International Overdose Awareness Day and Naloxone Training

In recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day held around the country on August 31, join us on August 27 for an overview of the overdose crisis and opioid use disorder (OUD), highlighting its neurobiological basis, risk factors and evidence-based treatment options including medications like buprenorphine and methadone. Following the educational presentation, an optional naloxone (Narcan) kit training will be offered for participants to learn how to recognize an overdose and respond effectively. Upon request, a naloxone kit can be mailed to participants.
