Researchers believe there is a genetic factor in migraine, the recurring type of headache that often causes moderate-to-severe throbbing or pulsing pain, often on one side of the head. Other symptoms of migraine may include nausea, weakness, visual disturbances, and a heightened sensitivity to light and sound. Dr. Susan Broner will discuss headaches in general and migraines in particular. Dr. Broner earned her medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine and is the Director of the Weill Cornell Medicine Headache Program. A faculty member in the Neurology Department, Dr. Broner is board-certified in Headache Medicine.
